Welcome to the Planet Quark Qiki Wiki!
Greetings, QuarkXPress users. This is YOUR wiki. It is intended to be a user-created repository of all information relating to Quark and Quark's products. The majority of information on how to use XPress exists in the heads of the users, and this is an opportunity for users to work together to increase each other's knowledge of how to make the best use of our tools.
This wiki is a community effort - it will become as great as the users make it. Feel free to add new information and help others with the areas that they're working on. If you find information that is inaccurate or incomplete, please contribute what you know. Little contributions can stack up pretty quickly.
If you're unsure where to start, just click a few links on the left. The Community Portal and associated discussion page is where we discuss what needs doing and where we're going. This is not an anonymous wiki, so you'll need to create an account before contributing. Personal information provided will only be used on this wiki.
Organization for the Qiki Wiki is still considered preliminary. If you have an idea for a new section you can recommend it on the Community Portal. You can start writing it by creating a link where you think it belongs. As we add new sections we may need to reorganize the site, but wikis make that extremely easy.
News
Offical Launch
The Qiki has been officially announced to the public, and we can expect all sorts of people to come wandering by. It's still going to take a while before we reach a critical mass, so I'd like to ask everyone to be patient and contribute when it occurs to you to do so. Any information about XPress that provides value to others is welcome. When we have an adequate database, people will start regularly showing up to look here for information, and that will be when it really takes off.

Welcome, XTension publishers
We've invited the publishers of the extensions to update the pages related to their companies and products. We expect that the majority of them will be novice wiki users, so please provide them with polite WikiGnome aid in beautifying their spaces.
We have an organization!
Although most of the conversation didn't occur on the wiki, we have managed to hash out a preliminary organization. I've embodied it as navigational sidebars on the left. Thank you, everyone! After a little bit of initial population we will be able to open the wiki to a broader audience.

XTensions Database Added
Thanks to ThePowerXChange for providing us with information to populate a list of XTensions for Quark products. This should provide an excellent basis for us to expand our knowledge of available XTensions.

The producers of Design Tools Monthly have graciously allowed us to include their archive of QuarkXPress related articles in this wiki. Articles have been indexed by category and date.

The Qiki wiki is officially off the ground! Not much content, and nobody to actually read this announcement, but it'll all come in time.
