Bug, Quark

If you’re having trouble opening files in QuarkXPress 6 that have been exported from QuarkXPress 7 down to version 6, be sure you’re using QuarkXPress 6.5.2 to open them. This is the newest version of QuarkXPress 6, and is the one that QuarkXPress 7 aims for.

To find out your version of QuarkXPress, either watch the splash screen as it launches, or choose QuarkXPress> About QuarkXPress.

(To export a file from QuarkXPress 7 in v.6 format, choose File> Export> Layouts as Project…, then choose 6 from the Version popup menu.)
