Copy Pages Between QuarkXPress Projects

Fri, Jun 6, 2008

Tip

To copy pages from one QuarkXPress document to another, open both, and then in each document, choose View> Thumbnails. Then, click and drag the page(s) from one document window to another.

Hold down the Shift key to select multiple contiguous pages, or the Command key to select noncontiguous pages. You may want to Tile the documents to see both at once: in QuarkXPress 4 or 5, choose View> Windows> Tile Documents; in QuarkXPress 6 and above, choose Window> Tile.

Here, pages 2-5 and 8-9 are selected. Notice the zoom level indicator in the bottom left corner of the window says “Thumb”.

If you prefer not to use the menus to get to Thumbnails view, you can just type Control-V to enter the zoom percentage field, then type “T” and Enter to be taken to Thumbnails view. That’s Control-V, T, Enter.
